I have been experimenting with watercolour since my teens. I enjoy introducing people to the delight of this medium and like to run fun teaching sessions. Let me know if you would like to try!
I like to celebrate the natural world in my compositions, whether it be landscapes or wildlife. Thank you to those of you who have bought my artwork – I donate 5% to humanitarian, wildlife and environmental charities.
If you have a ‘Special Place’ in the world and have taken photographs, how about giving me the challenge of turning it into a wonderful watercolour memento?
Although painting is my first love, I also enjoying playing the guitar and writing songs. My work life has ranged from gardening to picture framing, and teaching to social work, in addition to being a Doctor of Earth Sciences and running fossil hunts for families.
I live on the edge of the English Peak District, from which I drew much of my inspiration.
